Porches & Exterior Doors

I had very low expectations today when I went to the house.  There were a couple rainy days this week, and I hadn't received as many calls from the contractor; so I wasn't expecting to see a whole lot of progress...plus they're still waiting on the gas company to come move the meter, and there was a delay in getting the door jambs from the lumber company.  But oh the surprise when I arrived this afternoon to find many new changes!  Let's start with the front porch:
Here you can see the front door!!!  And the 6x6 porch posts have been wrapped in 1" thick finish boards.
We love this angle of the house.  That wrap around porch makes such a huge difference.
The different layers of trim board added to the porch framing above the columns give dimension.
Looks like there will be two steps leading up to the porch from the ground.
A closer look at the front door.  It adds so much character to the front of the house!!

The corner of the porch on the neighbor's side.
The longer side of the wrap around porch is so dramatic!
The columns are also wrapped again at the base.

The side porch door opens to the kitchen.

Back porch.  The 6x6 post is also wrapped in trim board now.
